Korean Name — Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Korean Name tool at ganada.app/korean-name,
operated by Ddobak Ddobak Inc. ("we"). By using the tool you agree to them.
Using the tool
The tool is free and needs no account. You may use it for personal or commercial purposes, including choosing a name you go on to use.
We ask only that you do not disrupt the service or the people using it — for example by overwhelming it with automated requests, or by redistributing it as though it were your own product.
What the results are
The tool suggests Korean names by matching sounds and by how common a name is in Korea. That is a phonetic and statistical exercise, and it is the whole of what the tool does.
It cannot know how a name will read to a particular person. Korean naming carries connotations a sound match does not capture — hanja meaning, generational characters, regional and generational associations, and simple familiarity. Two names that score alike here may land very differently in practice.
Treat the output as a starting point rather than a recommendation. For a name you intend to use in a legal, professional or official setting, ask a Korean speaker who knows the context before you commit to it.
No warranty
The tool is provided as is. We do not warrant that its suggestions are accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose, and we do not guarantee that the service will be available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool or from a name you chose with it, including any consequence of that name in a legal, professional, social or official setting. The choice of a name is yours.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
The tool, its interface and the data behind it belong to us or to our licensors. The names it produces are ordinary words: we claim no rights over a name you take from it, and you need no permission from us to use one.
Changes and availability
We may change or withdraw the tool at any time. Because it needs no account and stores nothing, a change costs you nothing you have entrusted to us.
If we revise these Terms, the effective date above changes. Continuing to use the tool after that date means the revised Terms apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you use the tool as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
